This Grilled Asiago Mushroom Herb Pizza is creamy and flavorful. On a day when being out with friends in the shady yard seems like a dream come true, it is so easy to grill this gourmet pizza. It takes just 5 minutes, and grilling pizza is a skill every barbecue master must have.
The first thing you will likely want to ask {because ALL of our friends did} is “doesn’t the pizza fall through the grill grates”?
NOPE!
I’ll give you the overview, so you can become a believer!
You will get the grill hot, and baste it lightly with olive oil. The pizza dough on the grill puffs up nice and crispy on the bottom. Then you will flip and add topping. Close the lid. The detailed instructions are below, but I promise you will be glad you learned this.
If you know my party recipes, I always have three requirements.
#1 – tastes amazing
#2 – simple and fast
#3 – exciting for guests
This tasty, delicious grilled pizza was fun to make and fantastic to eat.
I am SO excited to work with Notable wines. What I love about Notable is that the flavor profiles are highlighted right on the front of the bottle. It just makes buying wine and pairing small plates way so much less confusing.
We knew right away that a Grilled Asiago Mushroom Herb Pizza would be the perfect pairing for the Oaky & Buttery Chardonnay.
Wines vary in style, region and taste and so it is wonderful to have the flavor profiles so elegantly placed with music notes on the label. Think sultry jazz playing in the background while you savor ever sip.
Can you tell wine is my love language?
We also loved the Fruity & Crisp Chardonnay with prosciutto & melon.
This was one of those afternoons I am so LUCKY to do what I do. Friends stopped by all throughout the day; we grilled pizzas to order; we sipped wine and had a great time.
I love bringing joy to people, and this afternoon was a big hit.
Grilling pizzas was fun for everyone.
This pairing did not disappoint!
Here is a party tip: Roll out 6-8 pizza doughs and cook to order as people arrive. It is so much fun to slide this on the grill and make to order.
Aren’t these mushrooms beautiful? My sister also hand made this beautiful dish for me to use on just this kind of occasion. The Asiago mushroom combination is one of my favorites.
