Four Internationally Inspired New Years Themes {WITH FREE PRINTABLES}

by Tinselbox

For those of us that just can’t stay up past 9:30 pm, New Years poses a bit of a problem.  Before becoming a mother I liked to go out and kiss my beau at midnight  and maybe even close down the event hall.  Nowadays, I am exhausted at 9:30 pm. Even so, New Years is a great time for friends.  I don’t want to miss out. If you are in the same boat, you want to have some fun ways to celebrate New Years Eve Earlier.

 I always say I love to party like a rockstar, until 9:30 pm!

Choose a city to join for an earlier countdown

If you throw your New Years party on another cities time, you  might get to count down a few hours earlier. The kids can still be in bed at a reasonable hour, and you can get those jammies on early. You could also have one countdown for the children, and then keep the festivities going until midnight your time.

We are in California, so celebrating with New York puts our countdown at 9pm. That’s what we do with our friends.

Ryan, one of our authors, created three charts for you to find a cool place to countdown with.  He also created some great parties for each location. Find your time zone, and then check to see where you are at. The choices are Moscow, Paris and London.

Paris, France – Merci New Years Eve

In Paris, you can have an early party.  This is fantastic for an early New Years countdown for the kids. Add some art kits, French attire and decorations, and it will be too much fun to remember how early it is.

Plus who doesn’t love a baguette and art?

United Kingdom – Bangers and Mash, anyone? Happy New Year!

You’ve got to gather your friends with kids, and get out the English cuisine for this one.  This countdown leaves some time afterwards for popping balloons and setting off confetti poppers. There is even time for clean up and naps before your midnight countdown.

Russian New Year – Nastrovia!

Nastrovia, is the one word you will need to know if you choose the Moscow New Years Eve which is much earlier in the day.  {It means “cheers” in Russian}.  Okay, maybe you don’t need to drink vodka from a shot glass, but you could dress up in furry winter clothes.
