After the packages are unwrapped and the pies consumed, many of us are left with thoughts with what the new year will bring. This time of year I always renew and reassess. I love these lessons so much. #22 really resonates.
Bonne année et bonne santé! That is French for Good Year and Good Health. So the last in our series of international parties is actually the one that inspired the others. Two years ago we threw a French New Years Countdown party, and our friends loved it – and you will too.
The celebration of the New Year is the oldest of all holidays. Making a wish or exchanging wishes has been a part of celebrations over time. In fact, the Romans saw New Years as “setting the stage” for the next 12 months.
So, when it is 7PM in New York, people in London are toasting and kissing for the beginning of their new year. And we figured, why not do the same – and throw a party that counts down to the new years as if we are in London.
Why not ring an international new year. We are picking three different international locations to use as daytime New Party inspirations (Russia, United Kingdom and France). This post is for Russia.
