I will confess here that I ate some of my cookies after thinking I was going to gift them. The smell of the crisp sugar cookie with the royal icing was too much to bear. However, I did this while I addressed my Christmas cards, so it was still in the spirit. The best hour so far of my holiday season.
Once my family saw we were eating these. Poof… they joined in and the cookies were all gone. YUM!
