Self-pampering is not about being selfish. It’s about taking proper care of yourself and treating yourself as kindly as you treat others. These affirmation cards can guide you. It is about taking of your mind, body and soul.
With the items in this months box, taking care of you will be a luxurious experience. Having a 15 minute-break each day to clear the mind and relax in a nice bath, or steamy shower or just meditating – or a combination helps reform the areas of the brain that foster anxiety, worry, and self-centeredness.
All this pampering helps the mind’s “feel good” state. It also decreases the “stress hormone” known as cortisol. In fact, studies have shown that the frequency of pampering yourself correlates with better quality sleep, fewer sick days, and fewer hospitalizations.
Pampering is also essential in building self-esteem and self-confidence; both are key in developing a healthy and whole person. It is about feeling good physically and mentally. A strong sense of self and worth can be done through positive thinking or affirmations.
Affirmation Cards
We have created 36 affirmation cards to help you. They are very powerful tools that can bring about healing and change. When someone’s interpretation changes, a change subsequently takes place in his or her reality. It will make big changes in our lives by changing our thinking.
Our idea is to create a container, that you maybe place by your bedside, or where you brush your teeth, or where your car keys rest. Basically, put it in a place where you can grab a card and reflect on it and embrace it for the day.
Download and print out the affirmation cards. Cut the cards out leaving a white border around the edge.
Then adhere a piece of textured or designed paper to the back – we used scrapbook paper and spray affixed the paper to the semi-cut cards.
Then we trimmed the cards to the edge – eliminating the white border. We then rounded the corners with a corner cutter – you could also leave them square.
We then placed them in a strawberry pint container that was finished off with a bit of washi tape.
Can I just tell you how much I love the tiny bits of inspiration these cards bring? So many times, they tell me the perfect affirmation for that moment. Isn’t that amazing? There are 36 cards, so that you can reshuffle each month and start over the positive thinking.
If you are looking for more self-care inspiration, we love this nightly routine from Moms Choose Joy.
We hope you enjoy our printable and that our affirmation cards bring you joy. Let us know what you think in the comments.

As most people know, the St. Patrick’s Day holiday marks the anniversary of the death of St.
Patrick in the 5th century and we Irish have been observing it as a religious vacation for over a thousand years, even if
we are no longer practicing Catholicism.
